Do you think referencing your SoundCloud account is a good way to potentially get a gig at a venue?
I really wanna branch out by playing live soon. I Just don't really know where to start. I could start with my more singer-songwriter oriented songs that would be alright to perform solo — but I really don't know how to get that gig yet.

Hi Vinny,

Referring to a public, or private track or playlist on SoundCloud is definitely a great way to promote your music. I'd recommend to review this article on our Help Center to learn how to best prep your profile for this: https://help.soundcloud.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003569768-Promote-and-improve-your-stats

Aside from SoundCloud, if you have any video recording of you performing live, including this might make sense so the potential booker get an idea of how the live performance would actually look like. :)

Best of luck!

Yes. They'll need to hear what you sound like.
