Hi,

Tracks are ordered in chronological order of when they were uploaded. If you want to rearrange then you have to re-upload tracks.

Is rearranging playlists on SoundCloud's to-do list Gina?
That is a royal pita because when using soundcloud for demos you need to be able to rearrange the order of the tracks......

Apparently this is still causing confusion and it just took me a long time to figure this out too. So let me try to explain this as clear as possible:

TL;DR :
- open your (own!) playlist. (e.g. http://soundcloud.com/YOURUSERNAME/sets/PLAYLISTNAME )
- click on the little 'edit' pencil above your userpicture, a popup will show.
- in popup click the top tab "Tracks".
- your list will appear again inside the popup.
- here you can order tracks by dragging them.
- click 'Save changes' in the bottom of the popup.
- close popup, and reload the page.
- your list should now show the new order.

Actually, I really meant "reorder playlists" (I've edited my comment to reflect this). I already know how to reorder tracks.

For example here: https://soundcloud.com/derekwilliamsmusic/sets
the playlists are in the wrong order.

Thank you! I have been trying to change the track order for a month. Your instructions did the trick. Thanks again!

And that's why I'll discontinue my professional account status: how are you supposed to keep track of your following/stats numbers, when you need to continually delete tracks and reload them? This is a huge caveat.
Really very stupid that one cannot re-order their uploads... it completely ruins the flow of the page when you accidentally upload something out of order or if you, in hindsight, wished you had uploaded in a different order. You cannot even do this with a Pro account? That's kind of pathetic for such a comprehensive site otherwise.
YOU CAN! I just did thanks to another post in a forum by https://community.soundcloud.com/members/dubstep-fm-7424717:

playlists and albums are both 'sets', and both allow the re-ordering of the tracks. if you go to the set page (album or playlist) and click edit, then click the tracks tab, you should be able to click and drag the tracks to change their position in the list.

It took some hunting, but I did it.

*I have the pro plan- not certain if it works with other (no) plans*
