Can someone tell me what we're doing wrong? we've gone through a ton of problems and just when we think we're home free with iTunes, we get yet ANOTHER error.

"Can't submit your feed. Your episodes are hosted on a server which does not support byte-range requests. Enable byte-range requests and try again."

This is our hosting site and It's gotten us on google and podbean. I know tons of people who are on itunes through soundcloud. What can we do to fix this? Thanks.

I ran your feed thru CastFeedValidator, which does check for byte-range support, and everything came back fine. Clear your browser cache and try submitting the feed again thru Podcasts Connect. Apple is doing a lot of work on their systems lately, and whenever they do that, it causes weird glitches like what you're experiencing.

Awesome. I'll give it a try and get back to you. Thanks!

Nothing from SoundCloud's end that would cause this issue - I've checked your settings, and everything looks ok. Hope you can get this sorted soon. Feel free to let the community know about the outcome.

Ok, so I've ran the rss feed through just about every podcast validator I could find and iTunes could send me and they're all good. Somehow they're still saying that my link has something wrong with it that won't let podcast connect validate it. Is there something we did wrong? I mean, we've never touched the rss feed link at all.

Another thing we've come across now is podbase is saying that our pic is too big. It's saying "The file size is a bit overweight (252 KB). 250 KB is a reasonable maximum file size for a high-quality JPEG image." However our artwork is 1400x1400, 72dpi, and 214 kb. Why is it so difficult to submit to them? Smh.
you can use an image compressor, there are some online like http://compressjpeg.com/ you can redux the size.

Image file size is fine up to about 500kb. I like Podbase most of the time, but its suggestion that any file over 250kb is too big isn't valid.

That being stated, it seems like there may still be an issue with your artwork file. It's something "low-level," for lack of a better description. Your current artwork file appears to meet all of the minimums for Apple Podcasts spec. Regardless, I took your artwork and made a *slight* change to the image and file sizes. Add it to your SoundCloud settings, clear your browser cache, and try submitting again via Podcasts Connect.
Ok, so I got this whole thing resolved. Instead of http:// I had to change it to https:// we submitted, the submission went through, we got accepted and we're on iTunes. Thanks to everyone for the feedback!

Yep. For us instead of http:// we used http// no joke. Lol. Solved all of our issues.
I got the same response that byte range support was not enabled. It doesn't work when I make those little changes to the rss feed like it was suggested earlier in this post. How do I enable byte-range support?

Hi Cat,

Did you see my response on your topic? This should also sort out the error message about the byte range.

Hi! I have the same problem. Tried the small tricks and it still won't work. My feed is: http://feeds.soundcloud.com/users/soundcloud:users:653539815/sounds.rss

One RSS validator said it returned a "0" for byte-range support and Itunes tells me the feed don't have any episodes.
