https RSS feed

I was hoping to use Soundcloud to host daily audio updates for an Alexa Flash Briefing. However, when I enter in the RSS feed url, I get the following error:

Error: Stream url [http://feeds.soundcloud.com/stream/xxxxxx-user-xxxxx.mp3] should use HTTPS protocol.

Please forgive the dumb question. Is there any way to switch to https, or is that something that Soundcloud doesn't support at the moment?

Thank you!

Hi there everyone,

I'm trying to locate a number of old topics about this to update users who have asked for this in the past. For the moment being, the link in your settings remains unchanged, however you can now use your RSS feed URL with https at the beginning and it will be recognized as a secure link by any 3rd party.

Happy Podcasting,
Mathis

Hi Daniel,

Thank you for posting on the Help Community. This is indeed something that we currently do not support, however our product team has been informed about this and is currently looking at the options.
I'm struggling to do the same thing right now Daniel. If Soundcloud can figure this out, they would be the immediate go to service for creating a flash briefing on Alexa.
Nothing to add, but wanted to follow the discussion.
Same. Trying to push content to Echo. Need SSL support.
I built a solution for this: https://github.com/KayLerch/alexa-flashbriefing-soundcloud-gateway
@Kay - For Flash Briefing Skill API, Amazon recommends knowledge of RSS and/or JSON, and skills to modify your content to fit the Flash Briefing Skill API format which I'm not totally adept with. But I read through your README and I'm still lost. I configured my Podcast's RSS feed first but I'm not sure where to go from here. Should I just give up?

Although It is possible to access the podcast RSS feed at a https URL the feed still contains non-https markup.

Specifically all the thumbnail images referenced on the soundcloud CDN are http://

Perhaps there is some reason for this?

It's inconvenient because we are importing the feed to our site and these images cause a mixed-content browser warning ... Is there any plan to change or offer full https:// feeds?
