I recently submitted a feed for my new podcast to Apple. Here is the feed:

http://feeds.soundcloud.com/users/soundcloud:users:109836704/sounds.rss

They responded:

---------------------------------------------

Dear podcast owner,

The podcast located at the URL shown below has been blocked or removed from the iTunes directory as a result of technical problems with the feed.

Name: Calvinist Batman

Feed URL: http://feeds.soundcloud.com/users/soundcloud:users:109836704/sounds.rss

If you wish to reactivate your podcast in the iTunes directory, please troubleshoot your feed and check the functionality of each episode. To test your podcast, start iTunes, select Subscribe to Podcast from the Advanced menu, and enter your feed URL in the dialog box. If you can successfully subscribe to your podcast and listen to each of the episodes, you can reactivate your podcast by resubmitting the feed using the Submit a Podcast page,https://phobos.apple.com/WebObjects/MZFinance.woa/wa/publishPodcast.

For more information on troubleshooting feed problems and controlling the appearance of your podcast on iTunes, please see the podcast FAQ at http://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/faq.html and technical specification athttp://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/techspecs.html.

Regards,

The iTunes Store team

Originally it looked like the artwork wasn't to scale so I fixed that and then resubmitted it. But no response from Apple has come back. I have tried almost 15 times and I haven't heard back from them.

Can anyone tell me why my podcast isn't being approved? Please?

Thanks!

Per an Apple Forum moderator:

Someone else had the same issue - I don't remember offhand how they solved it. You could try searching the forum. All I can tell you is that I checked your top episode, and the file definitely downloads rather than plays when you enter the URL in a browser, and as said this means the Store can't stream it.

What do I do to fix that?
And now my feed doesn't even work! http://feeds.soundcloud.com/users/soundcloud:users:109836704/sounds.rss

Sigh.

Hey,

I took a look at your RSS feed and it looks valid to me (http://validator.w3.org/feed/).

From there, I tested what iTunes asks in the original email you posted:
If you wish to reactivate your podcast in the iTunes directory, please troubleshoot your feed and check the functionality of each episode. and I was able to successfully subscribe to your podcast and download an episode: http://cl.ly/image/0i2l0u3F0q41. This means that your RSS feed is working properly from SoundCloud.

I would reach out to iTunes directly about why they may be blocking your podcast from being submitted. It looks like from SoundCloud's end, the RSS feed is valid and is functioning properly when subscribed to.
