SoundCloud for Podcasters
We've recently brought our podcasting program out of beta. This means podcasting via SoundCloud is now available to everyone.
Sign up for a free SoundCloud account to immediately start hosting your podcast with SoundCloud and distributing your sounds via RSS to your favorite podcast apps. You no longer need to apply to have beta access to podcasting features. All creators can find their account’s RSS feed URL and adjust channel settings on the “Content” tab of the Settings
You can access your SoundCloud RSS feed by going to https://soundcloud.com/settings/content
. If you're unable to see the RSS feed here, please try logging out and back into your account. It could be that your profile is holding onto older information and it needs a hard refresh.
The RSS feed URL can be used to submit your sounds to the iTunes directory or other podcasting directories and subscription services. If you wish to individually add or remove a track from your RSS feed, go to the track's edit page by clicking the pencil icon below the track's waveform. On the edit page, go to the “Permissions” tab and click the circle 'Include in RSS feed':
This will push your track to appear in your RSS feed. Please note: private tracks cannot be added to your RSS feed.
If you receive the error message 'We had difficulty downloading episodes from your feed,' open iTunes > File > and select 'Subscribe to Podcast.' Enter your own RSS feed into the dialog box and press subscribe:
After this step, try submitting your RSS feed again to the iTunes store.
