RSS Feed Error!!!

I am using PodTrac so I can upload my episodes to iTunes Podcast and when i put my RSS Feed URL it is giving me an error. I contacted them and asked what was wrong and they said

"We cannot see your feed since it loops back upon itself in a complete circle. Do you have a source feed that you are redirecting to another feed? When we ran this through a redirect checker, it looks as if the URL redirects to itself – which is likely causing the redirect loop.

I think this may be a Support ticket item for SoundCloud since you have a SoundCloud feed. The SoundCloud folks are very helpful and they will have a solution for you."

HELP!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH! this worked! i have another question. So now that Podtrac was able to read my RSS Feed, what do I do now if i would like to upload it to iTunes while still using Podtrac? Do i just submit the SoundCloud RSS Feed to iTunes or do i use PodTrac RSS Feed URL on iTunes?

Thanks!

Hey there Gabby,

Thanks for posting on the forum. Jup, that's a loop right there. Not to worry though, here's what you'll want to do:
  1. Log in to your SoundCloud account and head over to http://soundcloud.com/settings/extra
  2. In the "New feed location", make sure to delete the link that is in there. This field only becomes relevant if you decide you want to move to a different host then SoundCloud.
  3. Save your changes.
That's it, the loop is now gone.

Other things that might help get you started:
  • While you're in the settings section, choose your email address in the "Feed email address" field.
  • Also, make sure your profile image on SoundCloud is 1400x1400 px in size. This is a measure that iTunes requires.
Finally, here are the two main resources you'll need when it comes to Podcasting on SoundCloud and on iTunes:
http://help.soundcloud.com/customer/portal/articles/1209292-soundcloud-for-podcasters
https://www.apple.com/itunes/podcasts/specs.html

Let me know if you have further questions around this :-)

Cheers
Mathis
