I think about using Soundcloud as audio hosting for my site.
Ideally, I want my audio to be heard/seen on my site only. Nowhere else.
For this I could make all my Soundcloud tracks private (so no one would see them on Soundcloud), but still embed them on my site (with secret tokens).
The first problem is that anyone can look into source code of my site, take the iframe code and embed it the same way on his site. But at least he mustn't be able to rename the track, share it on SC and download it.
The second problem is that if we take the URL from the iframe code (of the kind of "https://w.soundcloud.com/player/?url=https%3A//api.soundcloud.com/tracks/*******%3Fsecret_token%3*******") and then open this URL in another browser window, we get a page consisting of a SC player with the track loaded in it. And when we view the source code of this page, we see the normal SC permalink to that track with the secret token: "permalink_url":"https://soundcloud.com/bla-bla/nice-song/*******".
And with a working Soundcloud permalink, one can easily download the track even if that is not permitted. By means of numerous downloading pirate sites (google for "download soundcloud" and you'll get what I mean).
So my question is:
is it possible to totally hide the normal permalink from the iframe?
Also, is it possible that the normal permalink were inaccessible via google if we make the SC track private from the start?
Yes, I understand that any streamed track can be downloaded from the browser no matter what we do, but this requires some experience / understanding of the system. I just want to minimize download possibilities.
