Hello Help Community,

Here's a quick note from SoundCloud. Today, we’re giving you even more choice in how you experience SoundCloud with the introduction of our new mid-priced subscription plan that lets you take SoundCloud’s free, ad-supported offering offline and ad-free for *$4.99. Beginning today, the mid-priced plan becomes SoundCloud Go, while our premium subscription, which launched last year as SoundCloud Go, is now SoundCloud Go+.

With the introduction of SoundCloud Go, you now have three ways to experience SoundCloud: SoundCloud’s free, ad-supported offerings, SoundCloud Go and SoundCloud Go+.

The new SoundCloud Go plan gives you the first, fully on-demand listening experience at this price point. This means full control to choose the exact tracks you like, play them anytime, anywhere, as many times as you’d like.

The addition of SoundCloud Go not only gives you more freedom to choose the experience that fits you best, it also enables us to increase revenue to further expand our revenue sharing program for creators. As shared last year, we streamlined and further automated the process to get creators into our SoundCloud Premier program. We continue to grow the SoundCloud Premier program in line with the growth of our revenue streams, inviting more and more creators every month.

SoundCloud Go and SoundCloud Go+ are available through SoundCloud’s existing apps on the iOS App Store, Google Play or by logging on to in the US, UK, Ireland, France, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and Germany. You can sign up for a free, 30-day trial of SoundCloud Go or SoundCloud Go+, after which a monthly subscription fee applies: SoundCloud Go is *$4.99 (web/Android)/*$5.99 (iOS) per month in the US, SoundCloud Go+ is *$9.99 (web/Android)/*$12.99 (iOS) per month in the US. iOS users can avoid the App Store surcharge by visiting instead.

*For SoundCloud Go pricing details in your country, please visit, iOS App Store or the Google Play Store.

i really don't get your payment system:

i've to pay for uploading tracks - and listeners have to pay for listening.
so basically everybody has to pay? that's awkward. if you get money for
streaming content people upload for money - you really have to change
conditions for contributers. but like i said: maybe i just don't get it, but if:
i don't like it at all.
So I am going to give this trial a go now this is available in the Netherlands. It seems very unclear for a lot of folks overhere what the service actually does. I am very curious what al this will mean for the creative community on soundcloud who has been using it all this time to share our music and mixes.
I am Puzzled! I have a tria account with my Credit Card, but I am still unable to play Go+ songs! It says preview although my subscription says I am a Go+ subscriber. This is a wrong start of a promising service...! I use soundcloud from the start and expected it to work...Please help me out here!
SoundCloud is already in trouble and rapidly losing favor with longtime users. How did something like this make it past the boardroom? :?
  • Users pay to upload music
  • Users pay to listen
  • SoundCloud is now charging both the creators and end users for the same product
  • Creators receive only a small fraction of net profits from the sale of their music
  • Creators receive nothing when Users stream music for free
  • SoundCloud profits TWICE from each song
  • SoundCloud continues issuing excessive copyright infringement notices
  • Creators make no money due to bogus copyright violations on their own songs that they have already paid to upload
  • SoundCloud laughs all the way to the bank
  • Users and Creators boycott SoundCloud at an increasing rate
