I have a huge distaste for the shill accounts on Soundcloud, so I've been looking out for ways to reduce fake likes, reposts, and follows. Some of these methods may have consequences regarding real people organically discovering your music, but I think building a base of genuine followers is much more fulfilling, even if it means slightly reducing your chances of people finding your music by chance.
#1 is to make your track private for a few hours so the new songs can cycle through and the bots won't have your song in their spam queue.
#2 is to use minimal/no tags. I honestly haven't gotten much engagement from tags anyway. Most of my genuine plays come from me sharing my music on other platforms and asking friends to repost or at least like.
Use a combination of both of these methods and you'll notice a moderate drop in fake likes, follows and listens. So if bot accounts are something that bother you, give this a try and see how it works!
