Question

Podtrac stats service prefix

I've added the following (http://dts.podtrac.com/redirect.mp3/) prefix to the box on the content page in settings, as this is the URL provided by Podtrac, and in their instructions for Soundcloud users. However, when I click the info link by the box on Soundcloud itself, it advises that I use a different URL (http://www.podtrac.com/pts/redirect.mp3/). Which is the correct one to use?

Podtrac is not showing any data from iTunes, and I wondered if this might be the issue.

Hi there,

Hmm, from what I was able to find out, both links should be working. Just to be sure, could you use http://www.podtrac.com/pts/redirect.mp3/ for now? I've reached out to the relevant product team to look into this and make this aligns on both ends.

Cheers

Thank you Mathis, I will change it and see how it effects things.

Our podcast has only been up a few days, so it might be something else stopping iTunes downloads showing up (but I know we have has some at least). Thought I was going mad/doing something stupid when the URL's were different, glad it's not just me that though it was odd.

Cheers

Hi Mathis and Geno Five Two Podcast,

I noticed the conflicting information as well. Did either of you find out which one works between http://dts.podtrac.com/redirect.mp3/ or http://www.podtrac.com/pts/redirect.mp3/ ? Or will they both work?

Thank you in advance for any help!

I too am interested in finding this out, it would be nice to have some coordination between Soundcloud and Podtrac.

Did anyone ever find an answer to this?
