Why Cant I change my URL

I tried to change my url into www.soundcloud.com/lameboi but it says me Please note:You’re about to replace your old URL soundcloud.com/iamloopin. This will affect all links you’ve already posted outside of SoundCloud. Make sure you don’t forget to update these too. But No one use the url lameboi. Help me

Hi there @lameboi,

The reason you're unable to rename your account to https://soundcloud.com/lameboi is because this account URL already exists. (as you can see when going to that URL)

I'm afraid the only solution would be for you to try and get in touch with the account holding that URL and let them know why it's important for you to claim that URL, hopefully they would understand and free up the URL for you.

Hope you can get it sorted with them!

It's not saying you can't change it. It's just a warning about any tracks of yours you might have linked to from other sites.
