Why is it so difficult to make a payment?

My annual subscription for Pro Unlimited failed. I have tried to update my credit card info and save for future use, as well as make a payment now. It doesn't appear as if the payment info is saving, and i am unable to apply or make a payment now. Besides, there is no live person to speak with via phone, messenger/text, or chat feature. Why is this so difficult? Most organizations at least get the payment features right.
