I can hear the last third of his supposed "Like I Do" remix is 100% your track. Do you know what the first two thirds are?

I just noticed the kid has the nerve to have "liked" your track even though he then decided to pretend it was his. However, it's possible as he's only 11 that he thinks this is how music is made.
Lol that kid need help 😂😂🤣🤣

Both of his uploads now have comments saying he stole them. Can anyone identify what the other tracks on his profile really are?

Here's another.

Original:
https://soundcloud.com/obliviousrecords/tesseract

Dean's Remix:
https://soundcloud.com/user-099887766/ryllz-tesseract-dean-remix1

It's the original with the intro removed and then a bit of another track stuck in the middle.

It does look as if the guy thinks anything offered as a free download is available for him to upload and say it's his, and his idea of a remix is posting someone else's track unchanged apart from a few bars from another track that just-about work together.

Heres another.
Original track:
https://soundcloud.com/owlfh/jonth-two-sides-roundhouse-original-mix

His "remix" which starts as the original with the first 30 seconds removed:
https://soundcloud.com/user-099887766/jonth-two-sides-roundhouse-dean-remix
and then goes on to sound just like the original with maybe a bit of filtering.

How about these:

I've just SoundCloud's rules on age of users:
Users must agree to our Terms of Use on signup in order to have a valid SoundCloud account. These terms clearly state that you must be "either 18 years of age or more, or you are 13 years of age or more and have your parent(s)’ or legal guardian(s)’ permission to use the Platform".
If you break the rules

If we receive reports that an account was set up by a minor without the permission of their parents, we will remove the reported account and send an email notification to the account owner. We will only restore these accounts if the account owner can provide us with evidence that they are over 18, or that they have parental permission.

So the kid shouldn't have a SoundCloud account in the first place.

Hi there,

Sorry to hear this happened in the first place. 😕 If this remains an issue, please be sure to reach out to our copyright team directly via copyrights@soundcloud.com. If this is about impersonation, please see here for more info, and for the link to file a ticket: https://help.soundcloud.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003564108-Reporting-impersonation

Sorry to hear that ! This is to much easy to do on Soundcloud... seems that often you need to proof by papers and theres no other way with soundcloud to proof anything ... so if you not have rights by papers ...on this platform anyone can steal your music ....happened to a lot of my friends already on this platform...they lost years of work... because a 18 years old kid reported them... no worries... even if you have all the Stems (tracklines) of the projects and could proof this is your work...they will just send you to a lawyer.... and if this music is 100 % done by you and give you a serious income !GO There! ... Sorry i have to say that ...but seems to be the ugly truth ! Greets !

The problem here was an 11 year old who shouldn't have been using SoundCloud in the first place taking tracks that were available as free downloads and sticking a short section of one into a longer section of another and calling it his remix of whatever the longer track was. Apparently he was doing this with some app on his phone. He wasn't making copyright claims against other people. He was just too young to know what music production and remixing actually involves.
Anyway, his profile has been deleted and we don't know whether that's because he was reported as being under-age or for copyright claims against him.
It looks as if Birch's profile is active again. I think a possible reason he got it frozen is that if he made a copyright claim against the Dean track using his track, but he didn't explain exactly where his music was in it, and someone from SoundCloud just listened to the start of both tracks they would not have heard any similarity so would think Birch was making a false claim.
Maybe????
