Dispute on original track rejected

Hi,

I've gotten a copyright claim on a track I own and have the rights to according to swedish law.

Some guy stole it (https://soundcloud.com/thomasjonesofficial), reuploaded it, and claimed my song as a copyright infringement which is bullshit.

I created this and he tries to ruin this for me by stealing it and not even altering the audio file in any way or form.

I can easily prove that I made this but still my dispute was rejected, why the hell is that?

Which track on his page is the one stolen from you? is yours posted on any other site?
Can other tracks on his page be identified as stolen? I can't listen right now but if they all have very different sounding production that's a clue, plus if they needed to steal one they are probably all stolen.

Hi Todd,

The song he blatantly stole from me is the one called "Perfect time".

I originally named it "Savage" because it was the first track I used my producer tag in to make sure I could be recognised from it.
Don't know if any other tracks are stolen but it wouldn't surprise me.
Damn that is some cold blooded boldness if true. Obviously you need to expand the details on this story friend.

1. Where did he get it from? or: How do you think he got it? (links will help i'm sure
2. Have you contacted the person yet and called them out?
3. You said you can easily prove it is your creation, yes? Proceed then friend...

I am interested to see how this turns out honestly. We have all considered the possibility of this happening to us at one time or another. The culprit here should be publicly shamed if not much worst. I will go find some equipment in the meantime. Spiked baseball bats okay with you? ☻

The guy has only 9 followers, and one of them is another profile of his own: https://soundcloud.com/sound-trap-372419248
and then one of the followers of that profile is him again: https://soundcloud.com/user-944808577
That last profile has a link to a website where you can see his contact details.

Was your track downloadable? If it was this is another example of why you should think twice before allowing it to be, unless it is on a private link.
See this thread here where a kid was taking free downloads from SoundCloud and uploading them as his remixes:

The track wasn't downloadable, only viewable.
This has been resolved now, I managed to get this fixed by contacting his publisher and resolving it that way.

He won't be publishing any music any time soon 🙂

Good work. The track is still on SoundCloud. Are you going to do a copyright claim here?

I thought about doing it at first but I figured that will take more effort than what it's worth.

I'll let that one stay since it's being taken down everywhere else and I can always create something better and have already done so.
