Is mixplays.com/sc safe?

So I keep getting messages from what I assume are bots with the link http://mixplays.com/sc and it takes you to a site called fiverr. I’ve only used 1 other music promotion site and I didn’t really like their prices so I made my own “record label” called Gold Pink Records as one of my side accounts that I use to help both my ShinyWulfWulf profile and any other small artist like myself gain some attention on their profiles and tracks. (All I do is just leave a song on repeat until I get to a big number of plays on the track. So my “label” is legit AND FREE, it’s just slow because I’m physically letting a song play for a good couple hours.) But I have uploaded a couple newer tracks that are my best yet, and I would love to see them actually get real plays and comments, but sadly, with only 175 followers, I don’t really get ANY plays for hours or even months.

If you have used mixplays before or know anything more about them being safe, I would love to know. From what I have been researching, they’re safe and legit, but I would rather be safe than potentially being put in a financial crisis. THANK YOU!!!

Hi there,

What this (and other services) are offering is very likely infringing SoundCloud's Terms of Use.

Please see here on our Help Center to learn more about it: https://help.soundcloud.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003447387-Using-promotional-services

Same problem. Need to know if they're legit before paying for their services.

I have a similar problem with more details to provide. They told me to go to their website (just to clarify I haven't visited it yet because I can't afford my computer getting a virus), but the only URL they provided was printed on their header picture. Link: https://soundcloud.com/user-19620240

They offered to promote my track and stated I would recieve "217 new fаns, 7050 plаys, 338 lіkes аnd reроsts, а Shоrt-Videо-Теаsеr fоr [my] musіc". Seemed sketchy. Most likely not going to even copy the URL into my browser unless they are confirmed to be legitimate.

Hola, acabo de recibir un mensaje similar de mixplays, y en realidad lo que me hizo dudar es que en la nube de sonido solo tiene 1 seguidor, y eso da mucha desconfianza, así que creo que es totalmente falso
No, when I tried to go to it, my adblocker blocked it because of some sort of spyware in the site. There are multiple people with this site, likely from the same source, with random different names. They always send the same message and have a similar background.
I received 3 messages from 3 different fake accounts promoting mixplays in the last few days. Of course I reported those profiles as spam, but they are becoming annoying.

I noticed some recourring patterns in those spam messages:
  • I receive messages after there's some activity (= new uploads) on my profile - if my profile stays quiet for a while, I don't receive anything
  • they seem to be obsessed with a certain upload, because the title of the track is quoted on each of those messages (they probably found that specific track during their scans and they use it to build the span message)
  • each of those messages end with an invite to follow the link in their profile image (sentences: "Fоllоw thе lіnk in mу рrоfіlе imаge", "Fоllоw the lіnk іn my avаtar piсturе", "Fіnd the lіnk in my Рrofіle pic" - it looks like they randomized the sentence, so it's harder to build a pattern for automatic recognition)
  • each of those profiles have the link in two places: in the background header (centered horizontally, but at slightly different height - probably they randomize it) and in their profile photo (it seems to be always at the very same position there: maybe it's possible to build an image recognition routine to identify them?)
I really hope for this spam to stop...
Yes i have this too. Plz help and get rid of it.
