Hello, my profile has been deleted and now my email is blacklisted. But! I did absolutely nothing against the terms of community. I, like a regular user, uploaded my tracks to SoundCloud and My YouTube followers listened to them. I remember that some bots put likes on my tracks, but I immediately blocked them. I have never done anything illegal in my life. This situation so shocked me. I wasn't even notified by email. All my tracks. All my listeners have been deleted. Please help me. I don't know what's going on...

My "deleted" profile url: https://soundcloud.com/7881
Some url to my "deleted" tracks: https://soundcloud.com/7881/vintage-dreams-ep-album-mix

Hi triplet,

Thanks for getting in touch and sorry for the inconvenience here. I've checked in on this with our Trust & Safety team. It appears that your account was detected as spam for sharing a blacklisted link and, as a result, suspended from our platform. However, we’ve now restored your account, and so you should be able to access it again as normal.

In order to protect SoundCloud users from malicious sites, certain sites are blacklisted by our anti-spam systems, so any accounts sharing these links are automatically suspended. We hope you understand why this is the case.

Cheers

Thank you so much, Mathis! I never shared spam. How can I protect my account from this?
Hi Mathis

i have a related question .... i'm helping out an artist called Sal Dulu: https://soundcloud.com/user-727004974

The artist would like to change the name "user-727004974" to "Sal Dulu"

But the change needs to be risk free, meaning that he (obviously) doesn't want to loose any links to his soundcloud page (as well as to his individual songs) from many internet sources.

Please can you advise if there is a risk free way to change the name.

Thanks and best wishes,

Noel

Hi Noel,

Please see the bottom part of this article on our Help Center: https://help.soundcloud.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003567968-Your-Display-Name-and-Profile-URL

Forwarding from a previous URL is not something SoundCloud offers.

If the current link is all over the internet, these would get broken. I would recommend to change as many posts / mentions of the URL as possible - namely on the artist's social media sites such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc. to make sure the main sites link to the right SoundCloud account.

Another thing the artist could do, is to create a second account and assign the current URL to the new account (once the current account has been changed). There could then be a note in the bio of that account, or maybe even a recording letting their fans know they've reached an old account.

Hope this sparks some ideas.

Cheers
