Reading this blog post it seems like you can have a link and the download will automatically start, that doesn't seem to be happening with a recent track we uploaded.

But this is a feature we are very much looking to make happen. Can anyone help?

Hi there,

The article you're referring to is outdated I'm afraid. Direct download links are no longer supported in the way it is explained on that blog post. You can still achieve "a version" of this by adding your tracks to your RSS feed. (in which case the track has to be public though). The direct download link can then be found in the RSS feed.

  1. Include a track in your feed https://help.soundcloud.com/hc/en-us/articles/115003451347-Adding-tracks-to-your-RSS-feed
  2. Grab the feed URL from you settings and paste it into a new browser window.
  3. Find the URL that ends with .mp3 (easiest way to do so is to open your browser search with cmd+F (Mac) or ctrl-F (Windows)
Hope this does the trick for you.

Cheers
Mathis
