Imogen Heap x Eliah Seton Sound Advice: Live at Web Summit and Auracles Partnership Announcement

2025-12-11

SoundCloud Releases Live Web Summit Edition of “Sound Advice” Featuring Imogen Heap and Announces Partnership with Auracles

At SoundCloud, we’re always looking for new ways to help artists take control of their careers: to get heard, get discovered, get supported, and get paid. During this year’s Web Summit in Lisbon, on November 12, that mission came into sharp focus on stage during a special live edition of Sound Advice, our original conversation series spotlighting the artists shaping what’s next.

Today, we’re excited to bring that full conversation to everyone, along with news of a deeper collaboration that builds on the themes that Imogen Heap, Grammy Award–winning artist and Founder of Auracles, and Eliah Seton, SoundCloud CEO, explored during the session.

Sound Advice Live at Web Summit — Now Streaming on SoundCloud

Recorded in front of a packed crowd at Web Summit, the episode brings Eliah and Imogen together for a wide-ranging discussion on ethical AI, artist data rights, and the future of music.

Imogen, who has spent three decades pioneering new ways for artists to create and connect, reflects on everything from early SoundCloud experiments, like fan-submitted audio on The Song That Never Was, to her wearable musical instrument the MiMU Gloves, to her virtual AI assistant, AI.Mogen, and her latest venture, Auracles, a sovereign digital ID and creative data platform built to help artists protect, manage, and control their work in an increasingly complex digital landscape.

SoundCloud x Auracles: A New Partnership Supporting Artists’ Digital Identity

Alongside Sound Advice’s release, we’re proud to announce a new partnership between Auracles and SoundCloud.

Auracles has officially joined the SoundCloud Benefits Partner Program, making it easier for artists to:

  • Connect their SoundCloud profile directly to Auracles
  • Import music projects from SoundCloud into Auracles
  • Publish projects from Auracles back to SoundCloud at their discretion

For artists navigating a fast-evolving music ecosystem—especially one in an increasingly opaque digital world—this integration offers new clarity, protection, and creative autonomy.

“I am very excited to be working with Eliah and his team on this game-changing collaboration with SoundCloud and Auracles. We believe in the simple vision of promoting and enabling artist sustainability… This partnership is an essential step in delivering the missing layer we’ve envisioned for many years, to kickstart the future marketplace—one artist and one song at a time” states Imogen Heap. “A home for songs. Songs as a service. It’s the only way we all get individually what we want… This is just the beginning of our relationship with SoundCloud, and I really look forward to seeing what’s ahead.”

Building Toward a Fairer Future for Artists

This collaboration reflects a shared belief: the next era of music will be built on transparency, interoperability, and fan driven revenue models. Streaming alone isn’t enough - not for artists looking to build sustainable careers and not for fans seeking deeper connection.

By combining SoundCloud’s artist-first tools with Auracles’ data-driven foundation, we’re taking a meaningful step toward a music ecosystem where artists are not only heard, but credited, protected, and fairly compensated.

And this is just the start. Stay tuned for more from SoundCloud and Imogen Heap in the coming months.
