What's new with SoundCloud - June 2024

By Rohit Agarwal, Chief Product Officer

It’s June, and as the days grow longer, so does our list of new features on SoundCloud. Read on to explore what’s new and elevate your music experience.

iOS Updates

SoundCloud is on Apple Watch
Your favorite tunes are closer than ever.

Now, you can take your music everywhere with SoundCloud on your Apple Watch. Stay connected to the music that moves you, no matter where you are.  With SoundCloud on your Apple Watch, every beat, every melody, and every lyric is just a tap away.

If you're a Go, Go+, or Next Pro subscriber, it's included in your plan—sync and play on the go!

Turn Up The Visuals: New Music Sharing Experience
Your music deserves to look as cool as it sounds when you share it.

Now, when you post a song or playlist from SoundCloud to your Instagram or Snapchat story, a record player visual will appear, featuring the artwork of your chosen track or playlist. Plus, you can customize it with a colorful background or even your own photo.

We hope this new feature will make your music sharing experience more visually engaging and personalized!

iOS and Android Updates

SoundCloud, now in Arabic
Great music is everywhere and for everyone —that’s why our app is now available in Arabic, along with many other languages. To switch, go to the “App Language” option in Settings and click your preferred language.

Get Next Pro, now on Android
Fuel your creativity and transform your tracks with Creator In-App Purchases on SoundCloud for Android. Unlock Next Pro directly from your device, empowering every artist to enhance their experience no matter what type of device.

Get your music heard by more fans on mobile—enable Get Heard today
Amplify your latest release with our recommendation algorithm, which we recently launched on Android and iOS. Designed exclusively for Next Pro subscribers, Get Heard helps your new tracks reach listeners who are most likely to love them based on their past listening habits.
Once you upload a new track, we'll remind you to opt in to Get Heard to help it reach the right audience. Since its launch, over 3.5 million tracks have been analyzed and recommended to potential new fans. On average, Next Pro artists have seen a 400% increase in listens.

See your mutual follows on SoundCloud
As part of our commitment to supporting artists in expanding their fan bases and fostering connections across our platform, SoundCloud users now have the ability to look at another users' profile and see if they mutually follow each other.
